Configuring advanced settings on Canon cameras using CHDK

Total Posts: 3 Joined: 12-01-08 If you want to get the most out of your Canon camera, you should get CHDK. It's a free addon that won't hurt your camera. To install it, you copy a file to your memory card and have your camera read it (depends on the camera you have). If you don't like it, you just delete the file off the memory card and it'll be back to normal. Here are some of the best features:
  • Bracketing for exposure, aperture, ISO, and focus
  • Edge overlay
  • Live histogram display
  • Customizable display
It's well worth checking out. Make sure your camera is on the list of supported cameras first. Each camera model will have its own instructions, so be sure to follow them carefully.
